Probably the best burger I have ever had! I don’t normally do food reviews, this is actually my first of the kind, but Emma’s Streetfood in Ulricehamn surely deserves the best of reviews. Our visit to the beautiful city of Ulricehamn only got better, when we by chance, stumbled upon an old bicycle standing on the main square with a handwritten sign on it, luring us to follow its direction to the end of the main street of Ulricehamn. Emma’s Streetfood is located on a street corner, and from the outside the restaurant looks a little dark, with only the flickering of candle lights and old wooden furniture visible for the unknowing eye. But when you step inside the little café, you are met by an unique atmosphere, which I can only describe as the perfect marriage, between the cozy, magical and relaxed style that Sweden is known for, and a modern American burger bar where you almost expect the waiter to serve you milkshake roller skates. And the food, wow... The menu is nice and simple, and focuses on Emma’s burgers, fries and milkshakes. The meat is local, and I promise you, it makes a world of difference. The juicy meat (which you can order extra of, and what I did the second time around), combined the special sauce, local cheese and sweet bun, made for me – the perfect burger. If that wasn’t enough, the cook Emma (yes, the owner) even took the time to give us some tips to the local “must-sees” and helped us to ultimately having a great trip to Ulricehamn. I haven’t had the pleasure of eating on any Michelin stared restaurants, but if the stars mean, that the restaurant is worth a trip in itself – Emma’s Streetfood get all my stars, and we will be back, that is for sure.
